Fish or Piranha? (5th and 6th grade)

Hello boys and girls!

This term in the Art&Craft "tallers" in English we went for something both easy and funny.

We found this activity in the blog Pastiquem and thought it was just perfect!

You just need white cardboard, thick felt-tip pens (markers) for the fish and watercolours for the background.

It's very easy to do, you can get the idea just by looking at the final pictures. Here are some examples:

And the second part of the activity was to invent and create a new and original picture that worked the same way as the fish or piranha. The ideas of the children were awesome. Give a look and tell us what you think:

Cow Parade (3rd and 4th)

THE COW PARADE

The Cow Parade is an international exhibition.
Local artists decorate sculptures of cows.
These cows are distributed in the city centre, parks, train stations, important streets, etc.
After some months, the cows are auctioned off and money is donated to charity.

COW PARADE, LES ROQUETES 2015

The best artists in Les Roquetes were told to paint a cow, using their imagination and enthusiasm. And, as it could be imagined, they did an excellent job:

There's also time for GAMES. Games are a great way to learn and have fun at the same time. Why don't you try these? Here are two memory games of verbs:

And the following game is very cool. You can play in teams! It's very challenging. Try it and tell me how good you did it:

Theatre: Little Red (1st and 2nd)

Hello boys and girls!

These are some pictures of our last English trip to the theatre. We watched Little Red, by IPA Productions, in Vilanova i la Geltrú:

This is Little Red's mother. She made us laugh a lot!

A boy of our school, Enzo, went on stage!

He became Mother's clock.

Little Red was a naughty girl. She had to do some shopping for her grandma but...

she cheated on the poor shopkeeper!

Àlex (from 1st grade) was lucky too!

He sang the song "I'm not afraid of the big bad wolf" with Little Red and children from other schools.

Little red met the wolf, a hungry and weak animal. And she hit him!

Grandma, who was also a doctor, treated him.

Finally, we discovered that the wolf was, in fact, a policeman! Little Red promised to change...

The Eensy Weensy Spider (P3)

Hello little children!

The P3 students are getting familiar with the Eensy Weensy spider song. They know the story and they like listening to it and dancing to some simple moves.

Here you can watch the Super Simple Songs video of the song and practise at home:

Jobs activities (5th grade)

Good afternoon!

In 5th grade we have started a unit about JOBS and verb to be (in past).

Theatre: Tarzan! (3rd and 4th)

Helloooo!

Finally, last Friday, boys and girls of Second Cycle went to the theatre! We watch the play "Tarzan", by IPA Productions. And it was great fun!

We are ready for the show!

Jane and Clayton are both in the jungle looking for monkeys, but for different reasons...

Tarzan is strong and brave but he also smells bad...

Our lucky student of 4th, Ana, went on stage!

She dressed up as an elephant and helped Tarzan wash his body.

We all wanted to participate in the play.

Yousef, from 3rd grade, played a game with Jane!

Fianlly, with the help of all the children in the theatre, Tarzan became a clean and attractive man and Jane fell in love with him!
