MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAPPY 2014!

Enjoy your holidays and remember that you've got many links to funny Christmas games in our blog.

See you in 2014! Goodbye!!

Cristina and Michael

The Countries Project (6th grade)

Today the students of 6th grade have presented their Countries Project in groups of 3 or 4.

They had to choose one country, look for some information (the country's flag, capital, currency, language, population, typical food, highlights, etc...), write it down on a cardboard and present it in front of their classmates.

Well done boys and girls, you've done a great job! Here are some pictures:

Picasso: Portraits

Hello artists!!!

This term, in our Arts & Crafts workshops, we have learned how to draw portraits. We started by drawing realistic portraits of ourselves ("WANTED" posters, do you remember?) and we ended with abstract portraits, following Picasso's style (Cubism).

Would you like to see your productions???

Hello!

How are you? A bit cold, aren't you? Of course, it's December!

Christmas holidays are coming and at school we are busy as always doing lots of things and preparing Christmas cards, decorations, etc...

The children of kindergarten (P3, P4, P5) are still doing the "tallers" and here are more pictures of the English "taller" of Volcanoes, where the children can do and see a volcano eruption in class.

Water...

Orange paint...

Mix the paint with the water...

Vinegar...

Pour it into the volcano...

More vinegar... we want a big explosion...

And now some magic soap... to make it more bubbly...

And don't forget the baking soda if you want it to erupt...

The boys and girls faces say it all... they had a great time!

Christmas songs to practice

Good afternoon!

It's less than a month for the Christmas holidays and we have started practicing the songs we are going to sing the last day in front of all the children and the parents.

The 5th grade students are going to sing an acoustic version of "White Christmas" Christmas carol:

The students of 6th grade are going to sing a classic song: Imagine by John Lennon. It's not a typical Christmas song but it's about love and peace, so it's perfect for this time of the year:

Here you've got the videos. You can practice at home and learn the lyrics. We will sing them in class but it's important that you practice at home too, if it's possible.

See you soon!

Present Continuous (5th grade)

Hello boys and girls!

How are you?

Today I'm posting some interesting links to practice the Present Continuous at home.

Remember the Present Continuous is used to talk about actions we are doing NOW and about the future that we have planned.

Here are the links:
